Job description

Lead AI / ML Platform Engineer Who :

  • A seasoned engineering leader with 8+ years of experience in building and operating production-grade AI / ML platforms.

What :

  • $119,000 – $180,000 base, with bonus potential and compensation based on experience and location.

    • Position Overview :

  • We are seeking a hands-on Lead AI / ML Platform Engineer to drive the design and execution of an enterprise-wide GenAI platform.
  • You'll own the strategy and implementation of core AI infrastructure, including prompt workflows, agent context and memory, scalable microservices, and MLOps frameworks, supporting decentralized teams in delivering business value through AI.

    • Key Responsibilities :

  • Architect and lead GenAI platform development (Dataiku, AWS, OpenAI, Pinecone).
  • Build and manage AI / ML infrastructure, focusing on scalability, security, and cloud-native deployment.
  • Develop the Model Context Protocol (MCP) server and scalable EKS-based backends.
  • Implement standards for CI / CD, MLOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC).
  • Establish agent lifecycle governance, evaluation tooling, and feedback loops.
  • Enable internal teams with self-service AI tools and provide ongoing mentorship.
  • Collaborate with offshore developers and translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders.

    • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master’s preferred. 8+ years in ML / AI platforms; 3+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Expertise in AWS (EC2, S3, Lambda, EKS), Kubernetes, and Terraform / CloudFormation.
  • Strong Python and SQL skills, and experience with high-throughput APIs.
  • Practical experience with LangChain, OpenAI, Pinecone, and vector databases.
  • Proven success implementing observability, CI / CD, and cost-efficient systems.
  • Excellent communication and mentorship capabilities.

    • Preferred :

  • Experience with Dataiku, Snowflake, multi-agent systems, and ROI tracking.
