ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

Assignment Type : Travel Nursing – ICU

Location : Round Rock, Texas (78681) – Central Texas healthcare jobs

Unit : Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (12-hour night shifts)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1470-$1570

Number of Beds : 22-bed ICU

Patient Ratios : 1 : 2, occasionally 1 : 1

Electronic Medical Record : Meditech EMR

Dress Code : Navy scrubs

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke certifications required

Trauma credentials (TNCC, CATN, TCAR) preferred

Post-op cardiac surgery experience preferred

Strong adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced healthcare environment

Excellent teamwork and communication skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to patients in a 22-bed ICU

Monitor and manage patients using advanced ICU equipment : IABP, Impella, ventilators, arterial lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, SLED / TABLO machines, Belmont rapid infuser, traction, EVD, nitric oxide, Hemisphere

Assist with procedures : rapid sequence intubation, CABG and valve replacements, thrombectomies, EVD insertions, SLED / TABLO, MTP, cardioversion, TNK administration, vasopressors, IV sedation

Advocate for patient safety and collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team

Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech EMR

Contribute to a positive, learning-focused ICU environment and uphold unit standards
