Structural Engineer Required Skills

• Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
• Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
• Knowledge of residential and / or commercial construction techniques, construction documents, building codes and CAD concepts.
• Advanced CAD / BIM drafting skills. Proficiency in Revit preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

The Structural Engineer works in partnership with the Client Managers, Architects, Engineers, Designers and / or CAD Technicians, and is responsible for producing high quality calculations, designs, models and construction documentation using CAD / BIM and engineering software of various types.
