LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Family Practice PA in Pennsylvania!

About The Position

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment in Pennsylvania. This full-time opportunity starts on Nov 24, 2025, and spans 65 days, offering day shifts from 8am to 4 : 30pm, Monday through Friday. The role includes a variety of primary care responsibilities in a medium security correctional facility.

Responsibilities and Duties

Conduct sick call and patient rounding

Perform chronic and preventative care procedures and follow-ups

Participate in preventative care clinics

Complete infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases as needed

Triage and manage trauma cases

Document patient encounters through charting notes

Manage medication refills

Support PA / NP lines in the morning (suture removal, follow-ups, etc.)

Address medication non-compliance issues with patients

Additional Information

Pennsylvania PA license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Correctional healthcare experience is a plus

EMR system : Other
