ESSENTIAL DUTIES :

Support the lead teacher in fulfilling expectations and assist with classroom management

Encourage student participation and foster a positive learning environment

Maintain a safe environment

Engage and motivate children with positive redirection

Interact and engage with children and students

Implement Lesson Plans (K-12 Classrooms)

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with children / teens in a formal / informal setting

High School Diploma for ECE / Preschool

(College Diploma for K-12 Classrooms)

Adaptable. Reliable. Flexible

Strong interpersonal skills with a knack for connecting with students.

Previous experience in educational settings is a plus, but not required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS :

Frequently sits, bends, grasps light or fine manipulation, talks and hears

Frequently stands and / or walks, writes by hand

Stands for periods outside in the sun to monitor children for recess, PE, or play-time

Occasionally lifts, carries, pushes, or pulls objects that weigh up to 60 pounds

Occasionally twists, bends, stoops, squats, kneels, works above the shoulder, sits on the floor

Complies with safety policies and protocols activated by the school

Climb up / down stairs and hills.
