Back Office Medical Assistant

A busy Endocrinology Practice in Scottsdale is currently accepting resumes for full time, back office medical Assistants. New graduates encouraged to apply. Signing bonus paid after 6 weeks of uninterrupted, full-time employment. Retention bonus paid after 90 days of uninterrupted, full-time, employment. Candidates should be compassionate, kind, professional and energetic. EMR experience , medication knowledge, good verbal and written communication skills and routine procedure experience a must.

General responsibilities.

• Escort patients to exam rooms.
• Record patient medical history, vital statistics, and test results in patient medical files.
• Ensure all related reports, labs and information is available in patients medical records the night before their appointment (Chart Prepping)
• Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies and properly disposes of contaminated supplies.
• Maintain all logs and required checks.
• Responds to telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy.
• Call in and follow up on medication orders and refills. .
• Set-up EKG machines, administer injections and medications, and perform routine specimen collection and tests.
