Responsibilities
- Legal Research and Writing : Conduct thorough legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other documents under the guidance of senior attorneys or partners.
- Case Preparation : Assist in preparing cases for hearings, trials, mediations, and depositions, ensuring documentation and evidence are organized and complete.
- Client Communication : Maintain professional communications with clients to provide updates, gather information, and address concerns.
- Discovery Management : Handle document reviews, prepare discovery responses, and assist in interrogatories and deposition processes.
- Court Representation : Appear in court for routine motions, hearings, or minor trials, often with oversight from more senior attorneys.
- Compliance and Risk Assessment : Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Team Collaboration : Work with senior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants to execute strategies and meet client objectives.
- Billable Hours and Productivity : Meet assigned billable hour targets through efficient case management.
- Professional Development : Attend CLE programs and stay updated on changes in the law and emerging trends in the practice area.
- Commitment to Firm Goals : Contribute to team projects and firm initiatives in line with the firm's mission and values.
What You Bring (Qualifications)
Experience : 1–5 years of attorney experience, with a focus on civil litigation preferred.Knowledge : Strong understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to automotive liability.Skills : Excellent organizational, time-management, written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software.Education : JD from an accredited law school; admitted to practice in the State of Florida.Personal Qualities : Discretion with confidential information, strong work ethic, and a commitment to teamwork.What We Offer
