RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Job Details :

• Work three 12-hour shifts with every other weekend requirement
• Maintain 2 : 1 or 3 : 1 patient ratios in a 10-bed intensive care unit
• 2 years of hospital experience required with at least 2 years ICU experience
• Must have Kentucky / Compact license at time of submission
• Required certifications : BLS, ACLS, and current NIH (must be certified annually)
• May float to PCU, 3rd floor, or ED as needed
• Work with Philips Telemetry, Baxter pumps, iMobile, ventilators, and glucometers
• Use Meditech Expanse documentation system
• Perform telemetry monitoring, assist with paracentesis procedures, BiPap management, and therapeutic phlebotomy
• Preferred skills include CPap and BiPap management, port access, chest tubes, NG tubes, wound vac, drains, post-dialysis assessment, central lines, blood transfusion management
• Dress code requires navy or gray scrubs
• Unit staffed with Clinical Nurse Coordinators, RNs, PCTs, and Nurse Externs
