Unit Overview

  • Number of Beds : 31
  • Number of Staff : 25 Nursing, 20 Therapy
  • Staffing Model :
  • Day Shift : 1 Charge Nurse, 2-3 RNs or LVNs, 2 Techs
  • Night Shift : Same as above
  • Patient Ratios :
  • Day Shift : 1 Nurse : 5-6 Patients
  • Night Shift : 1 Nurse : 6-7 Patients
  • Equipment Available : Hoyers, wheelchairs, walkers, medication carts
  • EMR System : BLS

Core Skill Sets Required

  • Rehabilitation and transfer experience
  • Wound care experience

    • Typical Procedures Performed

  • Wound care and incision dressings
  • Foley catheter placement
  • Blood transfusions
  • Respiratory therapy (trach suctioning, breathing treatments)

    • Ideal Personality Fit

  • Highly organized
  • Collaborative and team-oriented

    • Dress Code

  • Facility standard scrubs (specific colors may apply)

    • Must-Have Skills (candidates without these will not be considered)

  • Rehabilitation (therapy) experience
  • CareTools proficiency
  • Meditech experience

    • Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Additional specialty certifications or advanced wound care training
