Seasport Divers is a premier PADI 5-Star Dive Center located on the beautiful island of Kauai, Hawaii. We are dedicated to providing unforgettable and safe diving experiences for all skill levels, from first-time divers to seasoned professionals. Our team is passionate about marine conservation and sharing the incredible underwater world of Kauai with our guests.

Position Summary :

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and highly organized Manager to lead our team and oversee all aspects of our daily operations. The ideal candidate will be a certified PADI Dive Instructor with a proven track record in management, a deep understanding of dive safety standards, and a passion for customer service and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities :

• Operational Management :

Oversee all daily dive shop operations, including scheduling, logistics, and customer service.

• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in excellent working order, adhering to PADI and manufacturer standards.
• Manage bookings, reservations, and customer inquiries efficiently.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure smooth and safe operations.
• Recruit, train, and manage a team of dive instructors, divemasters, and shop staff.
• Conduct regular staff meetings and performance reviews.
• Foster a positive, professional, and supportive work environment.
• Ensure all staff are up-to-date on PADI standards, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Customer Experience :

Ensure every guest receives exceptional customer service from the moment they inquire to the end of their dive experience.

• Address and resolve any customer issues or concerns promptly and professionally.
• Promote and sell PADI courses, dive charters, and retail merchandise.
• Marketing & Business Development :

Assist in marketing efforts, including social media, online listings, and local partnerships.

• Identify opportunities for business growth and new tour offerings.
• Maintain and build relationships with local hotels, tour companies, and community partners.
• Safety & Compliance :

Act as the shop’s primary safety officer, ensuring all dives and operations comply with PADI, state, and federal regulations.

• Maintain a pristine and organized shop environment.
• Lead by example in all aspects of dive safety and professionalism.

Qualifications :

• Current PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) certification or higher.
• 3+ years of experience in a management or supervisory role within a dive shop or similar tourism-related business.
• Proven experience in staff management, training, and scheduling.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and booking software.
• A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
• Knowledge of local Kauai dive sites and marine life is a significant plus.
• Able to pass a US Coast Guard drug screening.
