Bookkeeper, The Orion Amphitheater
The Bookkeeper at The Orion Amphitheater works part-time to provide high-quality accounting support across multiple financial functions at the venue. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional seeking flexible hours or supplemental work while still performing meaningful, skilled accounting responsibilities. The position supports accounts payable, accounts receivable, expense coding, sales tax reporting, facility fee reporting, and period-end close processes.
Key responsibilities include managing the period-end close process across multiple local entities, managing bank account, credit cards, and balance sheet reconciliations, assisting in processing and reconciling accounts payable and accounts receivable, preparation of weekly and monthly reporting, assistance in preparation of monthly sales & use tax, multi entity agreements, and external engagements, entering and reconciling daily, weekly, and monthly sales into the accounting system, assisting with year-end audit in providing requested information to auditors, identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and strengthen internal controls, planning, organizing and managing your own workload to ensure contribution to the company's monthly financial reporting process is achieved in a timely and accurate manner, and completing ad hoc accounting tasks and financial projects as assigned.
Professional qualifications required include a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, CPA is a plus, a minimum of 5 years of experience preferred, experience in hospitality, food and beverage, or events industry preferred, skilled at managing multiple priorities and relationships, aptitude for problem-solving and troubleshooting complex issues, ability to work autonomously to meet deadlines, proficient in Microsoft Office with a concentration in Excel, strong written and verbal communication skills, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, and passion for hospitality and entertainment.
