Overview
Corrections Officers oversee and ensure the safety of individuals in custody; who have been detained, arrested, awaiting trial or sentenced to a Corrections Facility. Officers provide security for Tribal Court hearings as needed and may be assigned civil subpoena service. Able to perform all necessary assigned duties, learn proper search procedures, fingerprinting and photography. Learn to process evidence as required and write reports. Administer first aid as needed. Perform other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

Requirements
Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.Must possess a valid Oregon Driver's License.Pass a pre-employment drug screen and comprehensive evaluation.Certification in First Aid / CPR is helpful but not required.Applicants must have no felony convictions on record and no disqualifying misdemeanor convictions.Must have physical coordination to operate equipment, visual acuity for performing necessary tasks, ambulatory ability to walk / run, and ability to obtain Corrections certification within one year of appointment.Will be subject to an in-depth background, reference, character and financial investigation as required per 101-630 (Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act).Must submit to a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.Must be at least 21 years of age.Benefits
