Job descriptionAn integral member of a rehab team who all believe in our mission and strive for our patients to reach their best possible potential and functional outcomes. Provides high quality compassionate Occupational Therapy Services while using the most up-to-date evidence -based practices. This rehab team player must be willing and eager to learn new concepts and therapy techniques, possess great communication and interpersonal skills and be highly motivated. Job duties for this team member include but are not limited to obtaining patient’s medical history, evaluation and provision of treatments in consultation with the referring physician, completing all appropriate documentation in the patient medical record instructing patient and family / caregivers in appropriate patient care, assisting in training / mentoring new hires, students and support personnel and performing duties assigned by the Senior Occupational Therapist, Manager of Inpatient Rehabilitation Services and Manager of SNF / Long Term Rehabilitation. The ideal team player in this position exhibits excellent leadership skills, decision-making and organizational skills. Minimum Education BS in Occupational Therapy New graduate Current State of Alabama Board of Occupational Therapy BLS within 90 days of hire MSOT 1 year practical experience direct patient care Prefer inpatient and skilled nursing settings NDT PNF
