The role of bindery clerk is an important part of the manufacturing cycle which requires great attention to detail and accuracy to ensure customer orders are assembled and packed correctly and neatly.
Job Duties :
- Examines collated and unbound material to ascertain that pages are in numerical or folio order according to sample copy, and for such defects as ink spots, torn, loose, and uneven pages.
- Operates the cutter to trim printed material to job specification
- Palletize boxes in sequential order
- Wraps product in plastic, using shrink-wrapping machine, makes boxes, packs products in boxes, labels boxes and tapes lids of boxes shut
- Records daily production.
- Troubleshoot issues with equipment
- Additional duties as assigned
