Must-Have :

Travelers are required to pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to start, with a maximum of 2 attempts.

A pass / fail skills assessment is required on the first day of orientation.

All RNs are expected to demonstrate competency in Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with specific variations for different specialties.

Nurses should maintain a sterile field, as this is a critical nursing skill performed frequently.

Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.

Holidays may be required as needed.

Description :

This position requires floating between various emergency room locations in the area.

The schedule will be made in advance, informing travelers about which location they will report to.

Travelers must exhibit competence in essential nursing skills.

Lifts, restraints, and wound care training will be provided, focusing on educational purposes as procedures may vary between facilities.

The nurse-patient ratio is expected to be 4 : 1.

Electronic medical records are utilized for charting.

Ventilator management capabilities are necessary.

IV team support is not available.

The environment is acute care focused.

All staff must be adaptable and willing to float to different locations as required.

Candidates who indicate incompetence in fundamental nursing skills may not be suitable for this role.
