RN - CMC Recovery Room Services - Per Diem - 8 Hour - Variable Shift

The staff registered nurse (RN) is a licensed professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, delegating, and coordinating the nursing care of a group of patients during a designated time frame utilizing the John Muir Medical Center Standards of Care, ANA's Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, and the California Nurse Practice Act, Title 22, and Title 16. The RN coordinates and provides care through the therapeutic use of self, nursing process, and the environment and technology, in partnership and collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Education :

Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing - Required

Experience :

2000 hours Nursing - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)- Must be obtained within last 3 years - Core Requirement

1000 hours Nursing - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) - Must be obtained within last 3 years - Requirement or

2000 hours Nursing - Critical Care - Must be obtained within last 3 years - Requirement or

2000 hours Nursing - Emergency - Must be Obtained Within last 3 years - Requirement

Certifications / Licensures :

RN Registered Nursing - California Board of Nursing - Required

BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required

ACLS Advanced Cardiac Life Support - American Heart Association - Required

Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test - Must Pass at time of hire (Required if hired after 11 / 15 / 2018) - Required

Approved Cardiac Rhythm Test Internal Candidates Must Pass Prior to Applying for Position (must be proctored in Human Resources) Required

Skills : Core :

Demonstrated competency in current anesthetic agent pharmacology, cardiac pharmacology, vasoactive therapy, and ventilator set-up / management, and emergency interventions including defibrillation.

Must be able to assume role of relief charge nurse.

Must be able to manage the entire spectrum of care for patients receiving conscious sedation.

Must be able to start difficult IV's.

Must demonstrate competency in a PACU assignment within 1 year.

work shift : variable start 9-11 am

Work Shift : 08.0 - Per Diem Days No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range :

$77.04 - $104.97Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated / relevant experience and / or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area .

Note : Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word exempt on it.
