Staff Accountant (DDA / LTSS Expertise Required)

Part-Time | 25 hours per week | On-Site Owings Mills, MD

Are you a detail-driven accounting professional passionate about making an impact in the developmental disabilitys community? Positive Pathways, Inc. is seeking a skilled Staff Accountant with strong knowledge of DDA and LTSS systems to join our growing team.

About the Role

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial management and compliance across our DDA and LTSS programs. Youll maintain financial records, prepare reports, manage billing, and support audits all while helping ensure the individuals we serve continue to receive high-quality, compliant support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all accounting functions related to DDA and LTSS funding and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, reconcile accounts, and prepare monthly reports.
  • Oversee billing, payroll, and documentation for state and federal compliance.
  • Monitor budgets and provide timely financial updates to management.
  • Coordinate with auditors and state agencies as needed.

Qualifications

  • MUST HAVE hands-on experience with LTSS software and DDA billing systems.
  • Proven bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally in DDA or LTSS settings.
  • Proficient in QuickBooks , Excel , and financial reporting tools.
  • Strong understanding of DDA / LTSS funding, Medicaid billing, and compliance regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in healthcare, nonprofit, or human services environments preferred.

  • On-site position (Owings Mills, MD)
  • Monday through Friday | 5 hours per day (25 hours per week)
