Repair Station Manager
The Repair Station Manager is responsible for the overall FAA 145 repair station, leading and coordinating the local team, including repair technicians, customer service, supply chain, local HR, and continuous improvement functions. Implements and sustains the business strategy in alignment with Safran Aerosystems' global objectives. Accountable for the repair station's overall performance, including On-Time Delivery (OTD), quality, Health, Safety & Environment (HSE), as well as meeting budgeted sales and profitability targets. Ensures full compliance with all regulatory, legal, social, safety, and ethical standards. Drives innovation and leads the deployment of group-wide initiatives within the organization. Supports the sales and customer service teams in managing relationships with key customers. Animation of the quality and compliance to FAA 145 regulations. Responsible for the site's P&L and ensures Sales, Gross Profit, EBITDA, cash flow and working capital are on target. Ensures performance to Customers. Ensures that repair station personnel follow the regulations. Is in charge of achieving its sales targets through the sales / marketing and pricing team and through the Customer Support Representatives. Invests in capability development (capability duplication and Entry Into Service) and manages the CAPEX budget and projects achievement. Manages the business transfer projects. Manages the Building and all potential infrastructure projects. Comply with and ensure that direct reports adhere to policies / procedures and regulations, i.e., handbook, training requirements, state and federal regulations, etc. Ensuring that all projects necessary for the repair station performance improvement or sustainability are launched and well managed.
a) Knowledge and Skills Aviation / Aerospace Component Repair Knowledge including CMM, Quality systems and manuals Knowledge on the major production management basics and theory Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. b) Competencies Communication Proficiency Team management Computer Proficiency (Microsoft Suite) Process Oriented Business and Financial Acumen Decision Making Organizational Skills Problem Solving / Data Analysis Results Driven Technical Capacity Time Management c) Education and / or Experience Four years of college or completion of university program certificate; or minimum five (5) years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. A&P License preferred d) Communications Skills Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to read, analyze and interpret Aeronautics International regulations and standards Ability to perform public presentation, reporting and synthesis Ability to communicate with the authorities and certifications auditors, and with the Management regarding the quality system, audits findings and continuous improvement plan. Ability to coordinate Quality, Environment, Health and Safety actions plans Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to create presentations suitable to all levels of audience that may be required Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and / or boards of directors. e) Physical Demands Most work is conducted from a sitting position, however, both standing and walking are required as well as ability to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Ability to travel including international travel approximately 15% of the time
