Position Summary

The Outside Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities within the commercial facilities sector. This individual will build strong relationships with decision-makers, understand their facilities management needs, and present customized service solutions that align with their operational goals.

This role requires a motivated, self-driven professional with experience in B2B sales—preferably within the facilities, construction, or building services industry.

Key Responsibilities

Prospect and identify new commercial clients through networking, cold calls, site visits, and industry events.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with property managers, corporate facility directors, and procurement teams.

Conduct on-site assessments to understand client facility needs and propose tailored maintenance and service solutions.

Prepare and deliver proposals, quotes, and presentations to decision-makers.

Collaborate with internal project managers and operations teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.

Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to contract close.

Track all sales activity through CRM software and report weekly progress to leadership.

Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and local market developments.

Qualifications

3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally in facilities management, building maintenance, construction services, or a related field.

Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Strong understanding of commercial property operations and maintenance needs.

Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites throughout Connecticut and surrounding areas.

Preferred Experience

Experience selling facility services such as janitorial, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or construction project management.

Existing network of commercial property managers, corporate real estate professionals, or facility directors.
