Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist with 2+ years of acute care experience for a day shift position in a hospital setting, requiring BLS and a current CA state license.

Responsibilities

  • Work in an acute care hospital environment
  • Day shift schedule (Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 AM – 5 : 00 PM)
  • Caseload includes CVA, trauma, orthopedic, medical surgical, neuro, and ambulatory care patients
  • May perform assessment, planning, and participation in rehabilitative programs to restore patient independence
  • Epic EMR experience is preferred
  • Responsible for supervising assistants, aides, and providing clinical instruction to assigned students
  • Must be gone for one year to return as a traveler if previously employed by the facility
  • Only one holiday request will be approved for time off
  • Required to adhere to privacy and safety regulations while ensuring optimal patient care
  • Must complete non-billable orientation modules via e-learning as part of onboarding
  • Local candidates accepted at a local rate; 50-mile radius rule applies

    • Requirements

  • Current CA Occupational Therapist license required
  • Active AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of occupational therapy experience in an acute care setting
  • Must provide copy of all certifications for consideration
  • Must complete lab work within 3–5 days of offer acceptance
  • License required if applicable
