Based out of the corporate parent, BeLeaf Medical, the Director of Retail Operations will be responsible for guiding the eastern Swade Dispensary retail network, meeting and exceeding targets for sales volume, growing brand awareness through customer outreach, and supervising and directing the customer experience through the direction of store leaders.This role develops strategies via strong cross-functional collaborations and leadership skills for a brand that has clear network expansion and customer growth.Duties and Responsibilities :
Proactively identify and manage impact of insights to broader organization, including development and presentation of a strategic point of view, goals, and proposed outcomes.Monitor Retail channel sales performance, NOP and market share; develop business operational dashboards, gather data from multiple sources, interpret data into key insights and make actionable recommendations.Summarize industry trends and benchmarks, provide insights to inform business operations & initiative priorities.Collaborate with Senior Leadership in setting the strategy for long-term business and opportunities for all stores (e.g., customer growth, brand growth, market share growth, profitability).Mentor and support store leaders to develop market specific business plans built in a customer-centric way that will drive traffic and further develop the customer base.Demonstrate knowledge of the local markets and business environment trends that include competitors’ business activities and overall trends.Develop Store Directors and Managers to deliver a strong customer experience in all stores.Build store cultures that are conducive to healthy teamwork and collaboration between all members of the teams ensuring internal employee empowerment.Plan, identify, communicate, and delegate key responsibilities and standard processes to store management to ensure smooth flow of operations within chain.Review store environments and key performance indicators within region to identify problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement and mentor store management teams to act and achieve operational goals.Develop and evolve standardized staffing model to better align employee scheduling to store traffic (MTT); optimize FTEs to improve store sales potential (NET $ / FTE, average cost model); review store structure to seek opportunities for customer centric initiatives; discover customized services to increase conversion / ATV / cross selling (UPT).Work with each store management team on strategies to capitalize on sales and improve customer experience within Swade guidelines (displays, traffic patterns, etc.) Implement retention initiatives and collaborate with Human Resources to provide developmental opportunities for store teams.Communicate corporate initiatives and directives to field management and teams through daily or weekly meetings and bulletins.Assess, mentor, and develop teams in all areas of performance, retail OMR and monthly one-one-one’s.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry standards.Qualifications and Education :
High School Diploma or educational equivalent. 3-5 years of management or supervisory experience, with proven ability to manage a diverse team.Prior experience working at a dispensary or cannabis company a plus.Prior experience working in a high-volume retail establishment.Minimum of 21 years of age.Ability to obtain MO Agent ID.Essential Job Functions :
The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time (4+ hours).The ability to bend, squat, and reach overhead. The ability to lift up to 25 pounds at one time.Compensation and Benefits :
