VHS is looking for a qualified Physician - Psychiatry.

Description : Amount of coverage needed / month : 1-2 weekends per month

Shift times : Generally 6 hrs of rounding starting at 8am. Once provider finishes rounding they'll be on call until 8am the following day

Call requirements : 24 hr. telephone call coverage Sat and Sunday

Patients per day : 6- 12

Required skills and experience needed :

  • Minimum requirements - BC in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry CAP or at minimum BC in General Psychiatry with completed CAP fellowship
  • Strong foundation in psychiatric principles diagnoses and treatment modalities including psychopharmacology and various psychotherapies.
  • Experience in administering and managing psychiatric medications in children and adolescents.
  • Foundation in adolescent development and family systems.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and collaborate with parents / guaridans.
  • Experience in managing challenging behaviors in adolescent patients utilizing therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques.
  • Experience in leading the multidisciplinary team overseeing patient care and providing guidance and supervision to other healthcare professionals.
  • Effective communication skills as the foundation for developing rapport with patients their families and team members.
  • Ability to adapt approach h to meet the diverse needs of our patient population including their unique cultural socioeconomic and familial backgrounds.
  • Abilify to work effectively with other professionals in a collaborative and therapeutic environment.
  • An understanding of legal frameworks educational provisions and safeguarding protocols relevant to adolescent patients.

    Credentialing timeframe : 60-90 days

    BR : 3000 / day - includes up to 6 hours gratis on site for rounding in the morning. Once rounding is done CB rate will apply to any calls once provider leaves facility.

    In person CB Rate : 300

    TeleHealth CB Rate : 225

    Shift Info : Day 2x24-Hour 08 : 00 - 14 : 00

  • 1099 Pay Rate : Competitive Market Rates (W-2 Pay Packages available upon request)
  • Certification Requirements : Please confirm credential requirements with VHS upon application.
