Job Description

We are looking for a Public Health Program Coordinator to manage the Rural Hospital Flex Program grant and support Critical Access Hospitals with quality and performance improvement activities. This position will be full-time contract and onsite.

What You'll Do

  • Manage the Rural Hospital Flexibility Program grant, including application preparation, budget oversight, and maintaining relationships with partners and grantees
  • Conduct site visits to Critical Access Hospitals to ensure program progress and provide technical assistance
  • Collaborate with the State Office of Rural Health Coordinator and partner organizations to avoid duplication of efforts and ensure program success
  • Oversee statewide CAH Flex Programs and activities
  • Facilitate Flex Program meetings, conference calls, and events related to the program initiatives
  • Collect and analyze data regarding participation in CAH Flex activities
  • Collect reports from contractors, report program data and successes to the funder, and submit timely financial and progress reports
  • Participate in national, state, and local professional and trade association activities related to rural health
  • Attend and participate in meetings and education sessions beneficial to rural hospitals and the Flex Program at national and state levels

What You'll Need

Required :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in rural health initiatives

Capability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to present to diverse audiences

Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (Word, Publisher, Excel, PowerPoint)

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with agency staff and stakeholders

Detail-oriented and self-motivated

Preferred :

Master's degree with a concentration in Public Health, Social Work, or related field

Experience completing program evaluation activities for rural health initiatives

Physical Demands

Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional travel to Critical Access Hospitals for site visits.

Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

$30 - $31.42 per hour. The pay range for this position is listed above. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and / or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
