Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Conduct comprehensive data analysis and interpret results to provide actionable insights.

2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and develop appropriate data-driven solutions.

3. Utilize machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to create scalable solutions for business problems.

4. Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.

5. Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes.

6. Identify opportunities to leverage company data to drive business solutions.

7. Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies.

8. Coordinate with different functional teams to implement models and monitor outcomes.

9. Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

2. Minimum of 5 years of experience working in data science or a related field.

3. Proficient in statistical analysis, quantitative analytics, forecasting / predictive analytics, multivariate testing, and optimization algorithms.

4. Experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.

5. Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages / drawbacks.

6. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.

7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.

8. Driven, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.

9. Proven ability to drive business results with data-based insights.

10. Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, etc.) and experience with distributed data / computing tools : Map / Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, etc. is a plus.

11. Experience with software solutions and understanding of how to apply these to solve business problems is essential.
