AVP, Perioperative Services
The AVP, Perioperative Services is an integrated campus role among TUH Jeanes Campus and Fox Chase Cancer Center (FCCC). This individual is responsible for directing and leading the Perioperative Services in collaboration with the Department of Surgery, Nursing and Anesthesia. This individual reports directly to the TUHS VP of Perioperative Services with a dotted line reporting structure to the VP, CNO TUH Jeanes Campus and the Chief Operating Officer for FCCC. The AVP provides leadership in the execution of operational and strategic goals and objectives of assigned nursing departments / service lines, ensures quality care that is consistent with organizational and regulatory standards, and assumes ultimate responsibility for outcomes related to the performance of the nursing staff and professional development. Directly supervises Nurse Managers and other leaders in assigned departments. Assumes budgetary and fiscal responsibility for assigned areas. Areas of responsibility include : Operating Room (including GI / Pulmonary Procedural areas), PACU; Pre-Admission Testing; CSR; Operating Room Materials.
Education
Bachelor's Degree Nursing Required
Master's Degree Nursing or Health Care Administration Preferred
Experience
5 years experience in a Management or Senior Leadership role within the healthcare sector Required
5 years experience in a clinical area of perioperative services Required
5 years experience as an Operating Room Nurse Preferred
Licenses
PA Registered Nurse License Required
Nurse Exec Adv Board Cert Preferred or Nurse Exec Board Cert Preferred
Certified Nurse Operating Room Preferred
Cert Post Anesthesia Nurse Preferred
