Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) offers elastic, secure, and high-performance infrastructure services. The Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE) is a managed Kubernetes service that supports a 24x7 operation at scale and a roadmap of features for customers and internal teams alike.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and design new features and systems for customers.
  • Collaborate across teams to engineer robust systems, regardless of organizational boundaries.
  • Independently debug, maintain, and improve existing systems to reduce operational burden and improve performance.
  • Be a generalist capable of debugging issues across a broad stack.
  • Scale systems by building tooling and automation.
  • Work with partner teams inside Oracle and with external partners.
  • Participate in on-call rotation to address service issues and customer escalations.
  • Perform routine operational tasks to run a globally deployed, high-availability service.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8+ years delivering and operating large-scale, highly available distributed systems.
  • 8+ years working in large Java or Golang codebases.
  • Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
  • Systematic problem-solving, strong communication, ownership mindset, and drive.
  • Experience building multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure.
  • Experience developing or managing containerized workloads using Kubernetes, with one of the following areas as a strong plus :
  • Overlay networking and container networking on Linux
  • System and service management on Linux

  • Salary range for US : USD 96,800 – 223,400 per year; may be eligible for bonus and equity.
