Position Summary :
The Compliance Supervisor is responsible for documenting and testing internal controls within finance as the company continues to grow. This includes reviewing processes and reconciliations from across the organization to gain an understanding of how they work and to help remediate any control deficiencies identified. The Compliance Supervisor will work closely with the company's external auditors to assist them with their process walkthroughs and documentation as well. They will collaborate with the Financial Reporting team to prepare and submit filings with the US Census Bureau. They will also own finance's role in the contract review process. This position will report to the Sr. Manager of Financial Reporting and Compliance. There are no direct reports at the moment, but the ideal candidate will have the ability to manage both processes and a team as the need for oversight grows with the Company. Providing these services in an effective and efficient manner will help ensure that EGA's reporting is accurate and control environment is functional and sufficient.
Responsibilities :
1. Identify and assess risks in a wide range of financial processes
2. Provide recommendations to mitigate these risks and improve control environment
3. Track and follow up on recommendations made to ensure timely remediation of findings
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for walkthrough and controls related audit requests
5. Prepare and submit quarterly and annual filings with the US Census Bureau
6. Review contracts for finance to ensure proper accounting treatment for new arrangements and compliance with review process
7. Review high-risk account reconciliations to provide another level of assurance
8. Approve Oracle Fusion user access changes and ensure user access is appropriate
9. Prepare purchase commitments and related parties footnotes for quarterly disclosure
10. Collaborate and communicate effectively across functions and departments to ensure process consistency
Working Relationships :
Frequent interaction with internal Financial Reporting, Procurement, and IT staff as well as external financial auditors. Periodic interaction across the Finance Department as related to reviewing reconciliations, documenting controls, and identifying purchase commitments.
Requirements :
Minimum Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
Preferred Education : Master's degree in accounting or business
Minimum Experience : 5+ years of relevant accounting experience including 2+ years of public accounting experience
Preferred Experience : Retail industry experience, internal audit experience, exposure to IFRS and US GAAP. Experience with Fusion Risk Management is a plus.
Licenses / Certifications : Active CPA license preferred

Hours & Conditions : Hybrid, Monday Friday, approximately 8-hour days
Physical Requirements : Minimal physical effort required, sitting / standing at computer for long periods of time. Ability to maneuver and lift 10 lbs.

Consistent with Massachusetts Pay Transparency Law, we're sharing the base salary range for this position. Final pay within this range will be based on your skills, experience, and qualifications.
