We are seeking a Credit Analyst to work a hybrid schedule at our Warrenville, IL location. The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating the creditworthiness of current and potential customers, managing credit limits and exposures, and supporting timely collections. This role will monitor accounts, analyze financial data, and collaborate with internal teams to ensure credit policies are applied effectively.
What You'll Do
- Credit Risk Evaluation : Assess and monitor the financial stability of new and existing customers through account setup, credit checks, scoring applications, and payment history to recommend credit approvals and limits.
- Financial Statement Analysis : Review financial statements to evaluate creditworthiness and support credit decisions.
- Manage Customer Exposure : Review job holds and order releases; ensure credit limits are accurate and resolve discrepancies.
- Collections and Account Management : Monitor outstanding receivables, coordinate with customers to ensure timely payment, and resolve disputes with internal partners as needed.
- Communication and Reporting : Maintain clear communication with internal and external customers; provide management with regular updates on account status, overdue balances, and credit risks.
- Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of credit applications, financial analysis, collection activities, and customer communications.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration : Partner with sales, billing, customer service, and management to ensure credit policies are followed and align with business objectives.
- Project Participation : Participate in management-directed projects, as needed.
What You Bring
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.Prior experience in credit, collections, or accounts receivable preferred.Ability to analyze financial statements to evaluate credit risk and financial health.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify potential credit risks and recommend solutions.Experience with collections processes, including negotiating payment plans and resolving outstanding balances.Proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Excel, SAP, and other internal systems.Strong organizational skills to manage 100+ accounts, payments, and requests while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly and effectively work with internal and external customers.Physical Requirements
This position primarily operates in an office environment (on-site or remote) and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and printers. The role requires prolonged periods of sitting, as well as occasional walking, standing, or light lifting (up to 10 pounds).
