This is a hands-on operations-focused role supporting water treatment, ammonia storage systems, and plant startup activities — perfect for an engineer who thrives on solving problems and keeping complex systems running smoothly.
🔧 What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll serve as the go-to technical resource for several essential plant systems :
Operational & Technical Support
- Perform routine monitoring of water treatment systems (Pretreatment, ROs, Cooling Towers).
- Oversee NH₃ storage operations including tanks, pumps, refrigeration compressors, condensers, and flare systems.
- Troubleshoot operational issues alongside operations, maintenance, reliability, and management.
- Manage media and resin changes to maintain strong water quality and system performance.
- Provide technical input for capital projects tied to water treatment and ammonia storage.
- Offer technical support for corrective actions and system improvements.
Process Safety & Compliance
Participate in PSM activities including MOCs, PHAs, and PSSRs .Support plant startup activities — including willingness to work 12-hour shifts during NH₃ plant startup rotations.Engineering Tools
Utilize simulation software such as Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, and PipeFlo for small heat exchanger work and system modeling.🎓 What You Bring
5–10 years of experience as a degreed Chemical Engineer .Strong communication and relationship-building skills across operations and maintenance teams.TWIC card (or ability to obtain one) .Hands-on experience in plant operations, troubleshooting, or process engineering.Familiarity with water treatment systems and ammonia storage operations.Solid understanding of PSM processes and documentation.📍 Location
