Job Opportunity : Part-Time Security Officer

Allied Universal is currently hiring a part-time security officer for a college campus in Boston, MA, Saturday and Sunday, 11 : 30 PM to 7 : 30 AM. Starting pay is $22.15 per hour. Paid orientation, paid training, and daily pay are available. Ideal candidates have previous customer service experience.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, respond to emergency situations at the educational location. + Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting students, staff, visitors, and / or guests as needed. + Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues. + Observe for unusual or suspicious behaviors and report findings according to site protocols. + Document incidents and daily activities thoroughly and accurately as required by Allied Universal and site-specific guidelines. + Collaborate with campus personnel and local authorities when necessary to support a secure environment for all occupants. + Remain alert to changing conditions in the location and adjust patrol routes and focus areas as needed. + Assist with access control procedures, visitor management, and / or monitoring entrances and exits as directed by post instructions.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Customer service experience is preferred. + Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. + Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. + Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. + As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. + Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. + A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
