Job Details Assignment Length : 6 months Start Date : March 3, 2025 End Date : September 6, 2025 Shift Duration : 12-hour shifts Shifts per Week : 2 shifts Responsibilities Manage care of patients in labor, including monitoring, pain management, and delivery assistance Provide immediate response and treatment for obstetric emergencies Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed Monitor and manage patients during the postpartum period while hospitalized Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team for coordinated and high-quality patient care Provide consultative services for midwives and family medicine providers Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Mentor and educate medical students, residents, and fellows Provide patients and families with shared decision-making about care plans Stay updated on latest advancements in obstetrics and participate in continuing medical education Job Requirements MD / DO degree from an accredited medical school Board certified or active candidate for board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology Eligibility to obtain a Massachusetts Medical License (preferred) Recent inpatient experience in obstetrics Fluency in Spanish or other languages is highly desirable
