Job Description

Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Specialty : Interventional Radiology (IR)

Job Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 10-hour days, Monday-Friday, either 0700-1730 or 0730-1800, based on shift need

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years

License : RN License

Certifications : ACLS, BLS

Must-Have :

  • Experience in Level I Trauma
  • Radiology pre and post procedural experience
  • Pre-op / PACU experience or ICU experience preferred

Job Description :

  • Assist in pre-op and recovery of patients post conscious sedation and general anesthesia
  • Work in a radiology environment with body IR cases including chemo embolization, Y-90, GJ, IVC filters, vascular access, angiograms, CT biopsies, ablations, US biopsies, thoracentesis, and paracentesis
  • Collaborate with a team including charge nurses and various techs (IR, CT, Nuclear medicine, and US)
  • Occasionally work on Saturdays (1-2 per month) and potentially cover holidays if needed
  • Use Cerner charting system for documentation

    • Additional Notes :

  • This position does not require work in the neuro endovascular area, only body IR
  • Scrubs provided
  • Utilize resources such as VAT for PICC lines and SWAT for complex IV starts
  • Hospitalist or Intensivist support available on site
  • 24 / 7 access to RT and Pharmacy
  • Primarily handle both outpatient and inpatient populations, including critical care and telemetry
