Job Description
Responsibilities of the Q / R Engineer
The Q / R engineer, who reports to the President, analyzes data to identify patterns that reveal potential problems and opportunities for improvement. Once issues are identified, the Q / R engineer develops and implements solutions to prevent them, ultimately enhancing the reliability of systems, equipment, and processes.
The solutions will differ based on the specifics of our business unit and the processes involved. They will include oversight for quality and reliability, covering work currently performed by McGill and BMI, with a focus on significant customer support for major clients such as GE, Siemens, Dow, and Olin.
Some common scenarios include :
- Analyzing equipment failure data to identify patterns and trends.
- Conducting root cause analysis to determine the underlying cause of problems.
- Developing and implementing new maintenance procedures .
- Designing and implementing new procedures for monitoring and testing equipment.
- Finding new technologies and processes that can improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Developing and implementing training programs for employees.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure that quality and reliability is integrated into all aspects of the organization.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (at least 3 years’ experience)
