Job Description

A locum tenens opportunity is available for a Radiologist specializing in high-volume ED readings across multiple hospitals in North Carolina, with a focus on stroke and perfusion imaging. This role includes working remotely and in a hospital setting, providing tele-radiology services. The position offers a flexible schedule with night shifts, accommodating weekend coverage.

    • Job Responsibilities

  • Provide high-volume emergency department radiology readings across multiple locations remotely.
  • Specialize in reading modalities including XR, CT (excluding CT Cardiac), MR, US, and NM.
  • Manage a daily volume of 90-100 exams per shift.
  • Maintain accuracy and efficiency in reporting while ensuring high-quality patient care.

    • Qualifications

  • Valid North Carolina medical license
  • DEA certification
  • Board Certified in Radiology
  • Clean background
  • Must indicate shift preference

    • Working Hours

  • Night shifts, including availability for weekend coverage

    • Skills

  • Expertise in emergency radiology with the ability to cover stroke / perfusion cases.
  • Proficient in using tele-radiology systems and familiarity with MERGE platform.
  • Strong analytical skills to handle high patient volume.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams across different hospitals.
