About The Position

We are seeking a Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 68-day locum tenens assignment in Tennessee, starting on Sep 8, 2025. This full-time role offers day shifts from Monday to Friday, focusing on comprehensive patient care in a correctional facility setting, including preventative care clinics and chronic care management.

  • Schedule : Monday - Friday, 7 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Conduct sick calls and infirmary rounds
  • Manage chronic and preventative care procedures
  • Lead preventative care clinics
  • Engage in infirmary rounds for internal medicine cases
  • Provide trauma triage
  • Maintain accurate charting notes
  • Manage medication refills
  • Address med non-compliance with patients
  • Perform PA / NP lines in the morning, including suture removal and follow-ups

    • Additional Information

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Experience in correctional facilities preferred but not mandatory
  • Must be licensed in Tennessee
