Are you ready to launch a career in the high-demand transportation and logistics industry? Anne Arundel Workforce Development Corporation (AAWDC) is offering a CDL Class A or B training program for eligible Anne Arundel County residents.
This program equips you with the skills, knowledge, and credentials you need to earn your CDL and begin gaining the experience required for long-term success in the industry.
Program Details
Training Dates : January 6, 2026 February 10, 2026
Training Provider : Best CDL
Location : Annapolis & Lothian, Maryland
Class Schedule :
Theory Classes : Tuesday evenings, 58 PM (in-person)
Skill & Driving Classes : Scheduled individually
Pre-Trip Classes & Driving Test Preparation : Scheduled individually
Participants have up to 3 attempts to pass the MVA CDL exam.
Eligibility
To qualify, you must :
Be an Anne Arundel County resident
Be 18 years or older
Have a high school diploma or equivalent
Be authorized to work in the U.S.
Be registered with Selective Service (if male, born on or after 1 / 1 / 1960)
Pass a DOT physical and obtain a learner's permit before training begins
Attend a suitability interview and meet priority of service criteria

Enrollment Period : September 16, 2025 October 17, 2025
Interested individuals are encouraged to attend the Transportation Information Session on September 30, 2025 at 1 : 00 PM.
Submit this interest form and watch your email for an invitation to start complete the barrier assessment and priority of service questionnaire.
Schedule a time for your suitability interview. An email will be sent out with available time slots.
Additional details will be provided if selected for the cohort.

Important to Know While earning your CDL opens the door to many opportunities, most employers require drivers to have about one year of experience before hiring due to insurance costs. This program helps you earn your license and begin gaining valuable on-the-road experience even in roles that don't immediately require a CDL to build toward your career goals.
