American Plastics, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri, is a leading designer and manufacturer of innovative plastic-injection molded products for the household & garage storage and commercial cleaning end-markets. We are searching for a Maintenance Technician Nights for our Tiffin, OH facility. This position will report to Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Electrical : Know how to troubleshoot and read electrical prints.
• Hydraulics : know how to troubleshoot and debug hydraulic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
• Pneumatics : Know how to troubleshoot and debug pneumatic circuits, read machine schematics and repair.
• Know injection-molding machine general maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging and repair as needed.
• Execute lock out / tag out procedures as required on all Injection and related equipment.
• Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions to prevent the occurrence of any downtime that can be avoided with proper preventative, predictive or continuous improvement ideas.
• Work with equipment suppliers to determine root cause of equipment failures and implement a permanent solution.
• Maintain Plant Facility and associated equipment.
• Perform daily checks of all injection molding equipment as outlined on the preventive maintenance schedule.
• Fork truck license, Man lift certificate, and crane operation required, will train to our specifics (not required, but a plus).
• Owns and maintains the required basic set of tools needed to perform the essential duties and responsibilities of the position.

Below is the Fixed Schedule :

All (4) shifts A, B, C, D are scheduled on a 2 / 2 / 3. This schedule gives you a 3-day weekend every other week! The schedule pattern consists of four 12-Hour shifts who work two days in a row, get two days off and then work another three days, which results in only 14 working days each month!
