Our client is a highly respected commercial general contractor with over 60 years of experience delivering complex new construction and interior projects across healthcare, life sciences, education, hospitality, and more. With a strong reputation for quality and collaboration, they operate throughout Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and the surrounding metro area. As Director of Safety, you'll lead a team of safety professionals and shape the company's safety culture. You'll report directly to a senior executive and play a key role in strategic planning, compliance, and continuous improvement.

The Director of Safety - Commercial Projects - Bethesda, MD will :

• Lead and mentor a safety team currently consisting of two Safety Managers and one Safety Engineer
• Develop and implement company-wide safety programs and training initiatives
• Conduct site audits and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards
• Collaborate with project teams to proactively identify and mitigate risks
• Drive continuous improvement in safety performance and reporting
• Represent safety leadership in executive meetings and strategic planning
• Support project teams across a range of new construction and interiors projects
• Champion a culture of safety across all levels of the organization
