Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our production facilities by performing a variety of maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues, and implementing preventive maintenance measures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities: - Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and adjustments on production machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and operational issues in machinery and equipment, and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule for all manufacturing equipment to prevent breakdowns and improve overall reliability.
- Emergency Repairs: Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and emergencies, assessing the situation, and taking immediate action to minimize production disruptions.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules, using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other tools.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with production and engineering teams to understand equipment performance requirements, gather feedback, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities adhere to safety guidelines and protocols, identifying potential hazards and taking appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Spare Parts Management: Monitor and manage inventory levels of spare parts and consumables, ensuring the availability of necessary items for maintenance and repairs.
- Training: Stay updated on technological advancements and industry best practices in maintenance, and provide training and guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Adherence to Regulations: Follow relevant regulations, standards, and company policies in performing maintenance activities, especially those related to safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in industrial maintenance or related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various hand and power tools, testing instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
- Knowledge of PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and industrial control systems is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility to work in shifts and respond to emergency calls outside regular working hours.
