Farm Maintenance Tech – Anderson Farm

Do you enjoy fixing things and working with your hands?

Opal Foods is hiring Farm Maintenance Technicians for our Anderson Farm in Anderson, MO . In this job you would maintain all equipment in the laying hen houses. Successful candidates must be able to work in a farm / live animal (dusty) environment. We take pride in maintaining compliance with all company policies and governmental regulations including safety, bio-security and animal welfare requirements. Pay determined based on relevant experience.

Position Responsibilities :

• Keep equipment running and operating safely and efficiently by maintaining and repairing machinery and mechanical equipment such as electric motors, pneumatic systems, and conveyor systems.
• Perform preventive and urgent maintenance on production machinery and equipment
• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
• Take a proactive approach to issue resolution including root cause analyses and error proofing controls related to down time
• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment to perform duties
• Detect and report faulty operations, defective material and any unusual situations to the proper supervisor
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
• Assist the Production Team with other projects and duties as needed
