A company is looking for a DME Clinical Advisor to ensure the delivery of medically appropriate durable medical equipment, orthotics, and prosthetics while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complex clinical reviews of rehabilitative DME, orthotics, and prosthetics based on established standards and guidelines
Provide guidance to medical directors on medical necessity determinations and participate in interdisciplinary care management rounds
Develop and deliver training sessions on DME regulations and collaborate with care management teams to ensure appropriate care
Required Qualifications, Training, and Education
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, or Speech Therapy required
A minimum of four years of direct patient care experience focused on rehabilitative DME or a related field
Utilization management experience is preferred
Current, unrestricted state license as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, or Speech Therapist is required
MCG Certification is required within 6 months of hire
