Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with AAS Locum Tenens to find a qualified Hospitalist MD in Bridgeport, Connecticut, 06601!

About The Position

We are

seeking a Locums Pediatric Hospitalist Physician to provide coverage at a

respected hospital in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This position offers flexibility

for a provider interested in covering multiple shifts per month or a

longer-term locums opportunity. The ideal candidate will have strong experience

in newborn and pediatric inpatient care and be comfortable working both

independently and collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. The provider

must be available for this date and open to picking up additional

shifts—averaging approximately 8 shifts per month.

Compensation :   $1,800-$2,000 / day

  • Shift Type : 24-hour shifts

Start Date : November 27,

2025 (Thanksgiving Day coverage required)

  • Schedule : Ongoing needs;

    • average of 8 shifts per month

    Setting : Inpatient

    hospital coverage

    Scope

    of Practice

  • Provide healthy newborn coverage

    • Handle occasional, minor Pediatric

    E.R. consults

  • Attend deliveries as needed

    • Offer in-house coverage for NICU

    patients overnight, with Neonatology backup available

    Admit patients to the NICU overnight

    (within established guidelines)

  • No procedures required

    • Requirements

    Board Certified / Board Eligible in

    Pediatrics

    NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

    certification required

    Active Connecticut medical license

    required
