Village Behavioral Health (VBH) is a licensed behavioral health organization providing crisis services. Our mission is rooted in the belief that it takes a village to foster healing, stability, and recovery. We are dedicated to delivering high quality, person-centered, trauma-informed care to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises throughout Virginia.
The Mobile Crisis Responder is a key member of Village Behavioral Health's multidisciplinary crisis response team. This position provides immediate intervention services to individuals experiencing behavioral health crises.
Services are delivered, in accordance with DBHDS regulations and agency policies.
Reports to : Mobile Crisis Clinician (LMHP)
Pay Range : $34-$55 per hour, DOE
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Respond promptly to mobile crisis dispatches in accordance with required team compositions.
- Conduct crisis assessments under supervision or coordination with a licensed staff member via telemedicine.
- Implement de-escalation strategies, provide safety planning, and facilitate coordination of care.
- Collaborate with law enforcement, emergency departments, and community partners as needed.
- Document all services accurately and timely in accordance with DBHDS and agency policy.
- Maintain safety and professional conduct during all encounters.
Required Qualifications :
Must meet VA criteria for at least one of the following : QMHP-A, QMHP-C, CSAC, CSAC-S, CSAC-A, or Peer Recovery Specialist (PRS).Must possess a valid Driver's License and have reliable transportation.Must possess or be able to obtain CPR / First-Aid certification and TOVA certification.Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, crisis intervention, and de-escalation techniques.Must be able to utilize GPS-enabled smartphone and / or tablet during all service activities.Ability to respond calmly under pressure and adapt to rapidly changingenvironments.
Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Ability to document interventions in real time using EHR and mobiledevices.
Cultural competence and trauma-informed care orientation.Knowledge of HIPAA, DBHDS, and Medicaid documentation standards.Preferred Qualifications :
