Job Summary
We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform high-complexity testing in a regulated diagnostic lab environment. This individual will follow strict SOPs to ensure accuracy in specimen analysis and contribute to quality control and compliance across multiple lab systems. Ideal candidates bring technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to patient safety and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze specimens using approved procedures per departmental SOPs.
Maintain and document quality control records, calibrations, and equipment maintenance.
Follow CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA, and all internal safety regulations.
Review and release test results ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Identify and troubleshoot issues affecting test performance or results reporting.
Respond to STATS or critical results in accordance with department protocols.
Assist with customer inquiries and internal team collaboration.
Participate in inspections and training sessions as needed.
Uphold department cleanliness and ensure all reagents / test kits are properly logged.
Required Experience
Minimum 1 year of clinical lab experience performing high-complexity testing.
National and state licensure, as applicable.
Prior experience in lab QA / QC processes and multi-system environments.
Nice-to-Have Experience
Experience interacting with clients or other departments.
Prior training or onboarding of new lab procedures.
Familiarity with regulatory inspections and audits.
Required Skills

Quality Control (QC) & Quality Assurance (QA)
Computer literacy across multiple lab systems
Strong record-keeping and documentation abilities
Preferred Skills
ASCP or AMT Certification (MT / MLT)
Experience with high-throughput lab instrumentation
Proficiency in regulatory standards (CLIA, HIPAA, OSHA)
Additional Skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple workflows
Excellent communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams
Customer service and confidentiality handling
