Job description

Senior Accountant

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will prepare month-end journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and assist with financial statement preparation. You will manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, and tax depreciation, while supporting external audits, year-end close, and annual budgeting activities. Additionally, you will compile and submit state tax returns and provide data for federal filings. Your expertise will be crucial in researching GAAP updates, recommending process improvements, and supporting the adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations.
  • Assist with financial statement preparation.
  • Manage the fixed asset lifecycle, including acquisitions, disposals, and tax depreciation.
  • Support external audits, year-end close, and annual budgeting activities.
  • Compile and submit state tax returns and provide data for federal filings.
  • Research GAAP updates and recommend process improvements.
  • Support the adoption of best practices.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent experience.
  • 58 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • CPA certification strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with an ERP system (Oracle, SAP, Workday, etc.) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in accounting, reconciliation, and month-end processes.
  • Knowledge of the manufacturing industry.
  • Understanding of tax and fixed asset management.
  • Experience in financial statement preparation and financial reporting.
  • Budgeting experience.

    This is a permanent position based out of Bothell, WA.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $83800.00 - $125000.00 / yr.
