Multi-Unit General Manager
Van Leeuwen Ice Cream
is hiring a full‑time Multi‑Unit General Manager to oversee two locations opening in Washington, D.C. The role requires strong leadership in a fast‑paced environment and a passion for high‑quality ice cream.
Founded in 2008 with a mission to make good ice cream that makes people feel good, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream now seeks an experienced manager to help accelerate growth and promote a customer‑first culture across all stores.
Job Responsibilities
Complete store operational requirements by scheduling and assigning stations for employees.
Recruit, select, orient, and train employees to maintain a high‑performing team.
Coach, counsel, discipline, and (when necessary) terminate employees; plan, monitor, and appraise job results.
Achieve financial objectives by monitoring sales targets, maintaining budgets, and forecasting labor.
Uphold excellent customer‑service standards.
Ensure merchandise availability by communicating with vendors and maintaining inventories.
Maintain a safe, clean environment for customers and staff.
Roll out new menu items to team members and communicate changes throughout the retail space.
Process weekly payroll accurately and on time.
Order and maintain uniform supply, ensuring all employees adhere to uniform standards.
Address all maintenance issues promptly.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
2+ years of experience in a food retail management role preferred.
Prior experience managing a team required.
Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to multitask.

$65,000–$70,000 USD
