Remote Inpatient Coder

A company is looking for a Remote DRG / PCS IP Facility Coder.

Key Responsibilities

Code inpatient and outpatient hospital records, including ED, Home Health & Hospice records

Review medical records to assign appropriate codes for financial reimbursement and research

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding regulations and resolve pre-bill edits and denials

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required

Must hold one of the following coding certifications at time of hire : CCS, CCS-P, CPC-H, or RHIT / RHIA

Three to five years of coding experience required

Inpatient coding experience preferred

Ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple service areas or specialties
