This full-time position reports to the Technical Services Manager and is located at the Ed Fischer Operations Center.
WHAT YOU WOULD DO : Supervise personnel working in Substation, Metering, or Protection & Control Schedule system protection and control maintenance based on NERC / WECC and utility requirements Responsible for prioritizing, scheduling, and assigning maintenance and construction work Work with Dispatch and System Planning Engineers to schedule station apparatus maintenance outages, construction related outages, and emergency repairs of substation apparatus Investigate metering errors, power diversions, and meter tampering. Provide timely resolution and reporting documentation for billing and management Develop and manage an asset management program Perform random field audits of work activities based on established working procedures Assist with annual budget preparation Serve as relief to the Technical Services Manager as needed Respond to after-hour transmission and distribution electrical system problems Provide excellent customer service. Work directly with customers and other utility departments to resolve issues related to Technical Services responsibilities Perform other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS : Candidates should have a minimum of five years' work experience in a related field at journey level or with a college degree in a technical field. Preferred work experience includes utility revenue metering, substation equipment and operation, and system protection and control. Possess a good working knowledge of metering operations and meter types, transmission / distribution protective relaying, and substation apparatus. Required experience includes transmission / distribution maintenance practices, knowledge of electrical system construction, standard materials, and substation equipment operation. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to work constructively in a team atmosphere. SALARY : Salary ranges are market based and established annually.
