Job Summary and Qualifications

The Neuro Rapid Response RN Coordinator will respond to all Stroke Alerts, Interventional Radiology alerts and any other neurological patient care emergency. The Neuro RRT / Coordinator will perform surveillance by identifying the patients at risk for complications or becoming seriously ill by using proactive approach, making rounds frequently to collaborate with the bedside nurses as part of a collaborative approach. Consistent and routine presence of Neuro RRT / Coordinator will provide nurses’ support, clinical knowledge and expertise to build trust and familiarity amongst each other. The Neuro RRT / Coordinator should take the role of teacher both during and after the event in order to best help the inexperienced nurses.
