Manufacturing Planner
As a Manufacturing Planner, you will create comprehensive manufacturing plans to guide production operators in fabricating quality parts. You will act as the primary liaison between the team and customers on technical issues, interpreting customer specifications and engineering changes, and developing planning for new and existing jobs. Responsibilities include : creating and communicating detailed manufacturing plans for quality part fabrication, acting as the primary liaison between production and customers regarding technical issues, reading and interpreting customer specifications, blueprints, and visual aids for planning, incorporating engineering changes and purchase order updates into manufacturing plans, developing and modifying planning for new and existing jobs to meet customer requirements, resolving manufacturing issues with production, involving tools, methods, and engineering, serving as a liaison between product lines and customer service cells, identifying substitutes for raw materials for new and rework orders when necessary, initiating and assisting with operational changes to manufacturing plans, prioritizing tasks to ensure customer requirements and on-time delivery, overseeing document control to ensure electronic files are current and revision levels are updated, and utilizing the JobBoss ERP system effectively. Essential skills include understanding of aerospace specifications, experience in blueprint reading, 1-3 years of experience in production and manufacturing planning, ITAR compliance, skill in schedule planning, logistics, and material planning. Additional skills and qualifications include background in military specifications and drawings, ability to cross-train and support other team positions, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, fluency in English (both written and oral), knowledge of customer drawings, specifications, and engineering tools, understanding of manufacturing flows and capabilities of assigned product lines, and ability to read measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and protractors. The work environment requires standing, handling objects, and clear communication. The employee may need to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required, including close, distance, color vision, and depth perception. Work hours are from 5 : 30 am to 2 pm, Monday through Friday. The environment involves technical drawing reading and communication with machinists and assemblers. Familiarity with machine set-up and hand tool selection is beneficial.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Auburn, Washington. The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $39.00 / hr.
